VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
with
ABERDEEN COMMUNITY THEATRE

Acting- onstage roles (no experience needed)
Assistant directing- aid the director during rehearsal
Box office- sell tickets to performances and film events
Costume construction- construct costumes according to direction
of costume designer (sewing not required)
Costume design/coordination- design and/or oversee construction
of costumes
Fund raising- assist in mailings and calling to prompt giving
House manage- oversee ushers seating patrons, set up concessions
Improvisation Group- rehearses and performs theatre games
Lights- run light board during performance
Maintenance- routine maintenance and cleaning of theatre facility
Musicians- perform during production
Props- gather, construct and organize properties for production
Publicity- write news releases, write monthly newsletter
Set construction- build set according to direction of set designer
Set design/coordination- design and/or oversee construction of set
Set painting- paint set according to direction of set designer
Stage managing- oversee backstage activities during performance
Sound effects- run sound board during performance
Ushering- seat patrons one hour prior to performance
